3/23/2020 – Update

Dear Friends –

As most of you probably know by know, Leavenworth County has been given a “Stay At Home” order by the Leavenworth County Health Department that goes into effect on Tuesday, March 24th and will remain in place until Friday, April 24th. As a result, the library building will close completely as of Tuesday, March 24th in order to comply with this order and help the community prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We will still remain available to answer questions via our library e-mail (library@lansing.ks.us) or through our Facebook page. Just send us a message or e-mail and we will try to help in any way we can. We will also provide updates through our Facebook page and here as well as post weekly activities that you and your family can do at home, so keep an eye out for those!

To prepare for this order, we are ending our curbside pickup for library items as of 8:00 AM Monday, March 23rd. We also ask that, if possible, you do not return your items during this closure. We will not be able to empty our book drop and all due dates have been extended until we reopen.

We are saddened that we will not be able to see our patrons and provide regular services. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy and we cannot wait to see everyone in person again.

3/19/2020 – Update

Our regional library system is amazing. The staff at the Northeast Kansas Library System have been working to make it possible for our patrons to still place holds on items and access our materials!

By the end of the day:
1. Lansing patrons can only place requests on items in the CARD CATALOG  that are owned by Lansing.
2. Patrons can only pick up requests at Lansing Community Library.

Not sure if your home library is Lansing, give us a call at (913) 727-2929.
